What is BBANGYA!?
BBANGYA! is a small, independent shop established in 2023, run by a wee team of K-pop fans, for other K-pop fans. Based in Belfast, we aim to provide Irish and UK-based fans with official goods that are affordable, and packaged with love and care, without the hassle of international customs and expensive shipping.
Where is the store based?
BBANGYA! is based in Belfast, and due to our location being within both the UK & Ireland, we are in a unique position where we can cater to both markets without extra customs charges being levied. However, as we are legally within the UK, our prices and our shipping methods are UK-based.
Do you have a physical store?
Unfortunately, we don’t have a physical store in Belfast at the moment. However, we are working hard to make that dream a reality so that other K-Pop fans like ourselves can browse in their own local K-Pop shop with their friends. Every purchase through our site brings us closer to a physical space!
Are your items official? Do album orders through your website count towards charts?
All of our items are 100% official products and are purchased through official Korean (or Japanese, where relevant) suppliers. All albums on our site count towards official Korean charts and directly benefit your favourite idols in domestic charting and winning on award shows - with the exception of K-Pop idols’ Japanese album releases. Japanese releases are purchased through official Japanese suppliers and count towards Japanese charts. Our albums are sourced directly from South Korea and Japan and therefore do not count towards UK/European/US charts unless specified otherwise in the item’s listing.
I’m new to K-Pop or I’m buying for friend/family member and I’m confused about the items. Can you help?
Of course! We understand that the world of K-Pop and everything that comes with it is very overwhelming when you’re not a veteran fan. We’re always happy to answer questions about K-Pop idols & groups, albums and other merchandise and to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. We can help you understand the difference between album versions, what a photocard or a light stick or abiasis… We’re here to help, and thankfully BBANGYA! You don’t have the item I’m looking for. Can you stock it?
We can certainly try! If you have any requests for certain items, just let us know via the ‘Items Request Form’ on our site. We have taken many requests and stocked them ASAP before. Unfortunately, there are some items that are very difficult to source, for example items out of print or high demand items, but we’ll always try our best. If you request an item and we receive it in one of our deliveries, we’ll e-mail you to let you know so that you’re first in line to get it.
If I unbox my order, is it okay to tag you on social media?
Always! We love to see photos or videos of excited fans receiving their orders on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X, Facebook etc. Just tag us @bbangyakpop on social media platforms, and we’ll repost your video/photos on our accounts. We live vicariously through everyone else’s pulls! You can also upload photos with a review on Trustpilot or directly on our site.
Where do your online orders ship from? What shipping method do you use?
Our online orders ship from the Belfast, Northern Ireland which is located in the United Kingdom. We use UK-based shipping service Royal Mail and this also determines the price of shipping on our website. We ship internationally, anywhere that Royal Mail delivers to. We always use Royal Mail Tracked 48 services for all items so that customers can feel assured knowing where their orders are. After ordering you will receive an email with your tracking number to allow you to follow your item’s journey to you.
Do you ship outside of the UK & Ireland?
Yes! We ship anywhere around the world that Royal Mail services allow us to ship to. You can check on their website to see if shipping is available to your country.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Klarna and PayPal.
How long will it take for my items to arrive?
Items currently on hand will be dispatched within 2-3 working days of your order being processed. In any event where this is not possible due to high demand or extraordinary circumstances, we will inform you of delays via e-mail. Items will be sent via Tracked 48 services to UK customers and so should arrive to you within 2-3 working days of dispatch for. Arrival times for EU customers should be within 3-9 days via International Tracked Services.
Pre-order items will take longer and this should be considered. Items could take between 2-5 weeks to arrive to us from South Korea (or Japan, where relevant) depending on international delivery times and customs processes. However, once the items arrive to us, they will be dispatched within 2-3 working days.
Where can I track my order?
You can track your order with the tracking number provided in the dispatch e-mail you receive once your order has been shipped out to you. You can track it through the ‘Track and Trace’ section on Royal Mail’s official site.
I want to purchase a pre-order album, but I’m confused. What is a pre-order?
Pre-ordering an item is essentially securing that item before the item’s release and ensuring that you don’t miss out if the album runs out of stock when we receive it. In addition, many (though not all) K-Pop albums come with pre-order benefits and pre-ordering means that you will receive these extra inclusions with your item. The release date of each item is in the item listing. Once you have pre-ordered your item, you just have to sit back and wait!
The release date of each item is in the online description. Once the album is released, our suppliers ship the items directly to us from South Korea. We endeavor to receive and dispatch items as quickly as possible, however as the items have to be shipped internationally this process can take anywhere between 1 and 5 weeks. Once we receive our stock from suppliers, we will dispatch all items within 2-3 working days via tracked post.
What are pre-order benefits?
Pre-order benefits are extra, limited inclusions that are given on a 1:1 basis to anyone who purchases an item before release date. These are not given with every item - you can always check the item description to see if a pre-order includes additional benefits. Benefits usually come in the form of photocards, postcards, posters and so forth. While all K-Pop albums come with a number of standard inclusions, first-press/first-print albums may include pre-order only inclusions added into the item during manufacture. Pre-order benefits however are usually included by the supplier of the album and are much more rare and collectible.
How are posters dispatched?
As default, we send out posters folded. However, if you would like a poster that comes with your item (where applicable) to be sent out in a poster tube, unfolded, you can check the ‘Poster Tube’ option in the listing. This will add an additional postage fee to your order so that we can send it in a post tube via tracked mail.
Can I cancel or change an order/pre-order?
Orders can be canceled without fee for items we have on hand, provided they have not already been dispatched. You can cancel a pre-order up to 3 days before the pre-order period closes for an item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations on pre-order items once the shipping process from South Korea to us has begun. After this period we may be able to issue partial refunds, minus some fees for the shipping process that had already begun. Can I return or exchange my item(s)?
We do accept returns in both cases of unwanted or damaged/faulty items. We cannot accept returns of open items so we encourage all customers to film an unboxing of their items to use as proof in the rare case that there is an issue with the item. The terms as well as information on how to return or exchange items can be found on our ‘Returns and Refunds’ page on the footer of the site.
How do I receive a refund?
All refunds will be issued back to the payment method you used when processing your order. It may take between 3-7 working days for refunds to appear in your account.
Do you stock all groups?
We may not have some of your favourite artists in stock at the moment, but we’re constantly expanding our inventory and the groups we stock. If you’d like to see a specific artist or item stocked, just let us know via our Item Request Form or by e-mailing us boo@bbangya.co.uk
Can I add a special note/gift wrap?
Yes. If you would like to add a special note or gift wrap, simply check the ‘Add Note or Gift Wrap’ box on the item listing page before you add the item to your cart and then you can write a note or give us some instructions as to what you would like in the notes section during checkout.
Do you do giveaways?
Yes, we do giveaways every once in a while for fun! If you’d like to get updates on when we have a giveaway, or would like to participate, follow us on social media @bbangyakpop and we’ll provide all of the details on there. Although we ship orders internationally, our giveaways are currently UK & Ireland only.
